AGM
We hold an AGM every year - usually in March / April (they must be no more than 15 months apart).
Before the AGM we display a form on the notice board inside the community centre where people are able to sign up to be a Trustee (committee member) of the Florence Park Community Association (FPCA) - trustees help with the running of the FPCA which is the charity that manages the community centre.
At the AGM only the Treasurer and Secretary need to be voted in, but we also vote in any trustees who wish to stand also. A number of trustees can also be voted onto the committee after the AGM and the Chair is voted for by the Trustees at the first committee meeting after the AGM.
You can also sign up to be a Trustee before the AGM by emailing [email protected]
At the AGM our Chair gives a report of the previous year and the accounts are explained by the Treasurer.
You can raise an issue for discussion at the AGM by contacting us by 21 clear days before the date to be included.
Questions can be asked at the AGM
Full members get a vote each
Associate members (those who live outside our area of benefit) vote on the evening for 2 of their membership to represent them in the vote.
To join the AGM you must bring along proof of address and we will be able to find your membership details - you can also join on the night by arriving half an hour before the AGM starts
