The Florence Park Community Association became an incorporated charity in 2014 (registered charity number 1159506). This did not change anything about how the charity is run or membership..
The association’s charitable objectives are to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Florence Park Estate by associating together the said inhabitants and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance - and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life..The association manages the Florence Park Community Centre on Cornwallis Road to further these objectives.
In December 2024 a group of volunteers kindly redecorated the kitchen. We now have a new cooker and microwave!
