There are some places where you must wear a face covering by law, unless you are exempt or have a reasonable excuse (see the ‘When you do not need to wear a face covering’ section below).
In England, you must wear a face covering in the following indoor settings (examples are given in brackets):
We will continue to provide hand sanitisers, to have displayed the NHS Track and Trace and ask that you open windows and doors (and socially distance when you can). In addition, we would also request that you continue to avoid congregating in any communal areas of the building or outside in the car park prior to or after your activity.
Please report to us straight away if you or a member of your group contracts COVID - email [email protected]

National Lockdown Easing- Step 4 'Freedom Day'
‘Even though the legal restrictions for socially distancing and wearing face coverings lifted on the 19th July we have a duty of care to provide a safe environment both for our staff and visitors.
With that in mind we would like to continue to provide a safe environment with particular consideration for those in our community who either have not yet received both Covid vaccination jabs or who continue to be at a greater risk of contracting Covid.
To help us we would really appreciate that you continue to hand sanitise on entering and to wear a face covering while in the communal areas of the building. While you are within your session/hired room the discretion to wear face coverings will continue to sit with the organiser of your activity, although if these sessions are busy we would encourage you to wear a face covering especially where you are mixing with people you don’t normally meet. We ask that you keep your room ventilated by opening windows and doors, in addition, we would also request that you continue to avoid congregating in any communal areas of the building or outside in the car park prior to or after your activity.
Classes and organised groups should still collect and retain contact details of attendees for track and trace and we would appreciate Private hirers encouraging those who attend to use the NHS Track and Trace App’.
Cafes & Bars
Hospitality venues will be able to open for outdoor & indoor service, with no restriction on group size and no curfew. The requirement to eat and drink while seated no longer remains - bar service will be reinstated. - we will be opening our Bar on specific evenings and the Monthly Community Cafe in our large back garden and inside. Face masks inside are still advised (though not mandatory) if you are moving around into communal areas or going to the bar
Social Bookings/Parties/Weddings/Wakes/Commemorative events
There are no legal limits on attendees, no legal requirement to wearing face coverings or to social distance. - we are taking private bookings. We are still asking hirers and guests to Hand Sanitise, Register with the NHS app if able, and to Wipe down tables and surfaces with the cleaning products provided. Also to avoid congregating in communal areas such as the car park and entrance hallway.
- please go to our 'How to Hire' page for booking details or email [email protected]
Thank you so much for your use of the Centre, and we appreciate all the support that you can give in this challenging time.
We look forward to continuing to serve the community..
